Inaugural Meeting to Empower GPs/VCs in Crafting Impactful GPDPs

In Collaboration with National Law University, Tripura

Kickstarting a transformative journey, the inaugural meeting with mentors from selected blocks marks the beginning of a groundbreaking initiative to empower Gram Panchayats (GPs) and Village Committees (VCs) in Tripura. This pivotal session is designed to strengthen the capacity of local governance bodies in developing effective Gram Panchayat Development Plans (GPDPs) that genuinely reflect the needs and aspirations of the communities they serve.

This collaborative effort, led by National Law University, Tripura, in partnership with the Rural Development (Panchayat) Department, Government of Tripura (GoT), aims to provide valuable mentorship, guidance, and training to key stakeholders. By fostering a shared commitment to sustainable development and participatory planning, the initiative seeks to build stronger, more empowered local governance structures.

The meeting serves as a dynamic platform for idea exchange, strategic discussions, and capacity building, ensuring that GPs and VCs are well-equipped to design and implement impactful development plans. Through this initiative, rural communities across Tripura will benefit from more effective, community-driven governance.
